Broustin Square

Two-year temporary development project for a square with the residents of Avenue Broustin, in Ganshoren.

Over six months, about twenty interviews, six workshops, and two participatory construction sites allowed the residents, shopkeepers, and users of the avenue to define, design, and build together the future developments of the square. This led to the installation of four benches, two planters, a picnic table, playful furniture, ground markings, and a new traffic plan. These developments were inaugurated during a neighborhood party in late March, with a presentation of the co-creation process and the results of the workshops.

Finally, an evaluation phase, including on-site surveys and the creation of an online form, made it possible to assess usage, the sturdiness of the developments, the level of participation, the choice of tools, the quality of the participatory process, and user satisfaction.
